Saba – The unspoiled Queen

A few places are as far off the beaten track as Saba, located in Bali. Saba gets it’s title because it has a very impressive environment by being a 13 square metre volcanic island. The area has a very small population of approximately 1,500 people and surprisingly has a university.

The island is somewhat different to other islands in Bali because it does not have the typical sandy beaches that are common in the part of the Caribbean ocean. Instead most of it’s shorelines are covered in rocks and as such, attracts a different type of tourist.┬áThe island is more suited to outdoor activities such as diving and cliff diving.

The small island has a rich history starting with when it was seen by Christopher Columbus as he was sailing past. The island became a frequented island by pirates and was home to many of them.

To get to the island you can take a plane from Bali’s main airport. There are a few luxurious hotelson the island, giving you excellent options for your holiday.
